I was born and raised in Spain; since 2004 I am based in Amsterdam. I have an educational background in Architecture at the University of Seville in Spain and Fine Art (Audiovisual) at the School of Art and Design Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
I am currently working independently. I work on a wide range of visual disciplines balancing on the border between art and design. Besides my art I have worked as an architect and graphic designer.
Conceptual ideas come together on my projects as an architect and as an artist, including photography, video, short films, site-specific installations, animation, 3D objects, illustrations, graphical design and games.
Painting for me involves a process of turning inwards and silencing the conscious mind. Creating space where I can listen, learn, engage, experiment and become familiar with my own daily experiences.
As an artist, I’m searching for timelessness and change in one. My idea is to create some kind of constant and changing architecture that is simultaneously timeless. With those elements that never persist over time, but that we can remember or forget. Thoughts of a moment, obsessions, a smell, a sound, anything that might disrupt our lives without us even realizing it.
My work have been exhibited amongst others at the Hermitage Museum and EYE Film Museum in Amsterdam.
